Description:  

This 50-minute video is comprised of a series of vignettes identifying commonly experienced challenges when clients/patients are assigned Sensate Focus homework, and modeling possible responses and educational information that address the problem and move the process forward.  Both Dr. Constance Avery-Clark and Linda Weiner, MSW, LCSW model different styles in addressing the common problems.

In this video we will offer possible solutions to the following Common Problems:

  • Individuals or couples who avoid or delay the touching.
  • Partner pressure and expectations
  • Going further than suggested on a regular basis.
  • Ticklishness
  • Feeling “nothing”
  • Perception of the touching as boring, constraining, non-spontaneous.
  • Sexual frustration

This course offers the opportunity to:

  • Learn about common problems.
  • Identify suggested interventions.
  • View the handling of common problems in action with two seasoned sex therapists.
